Care & Cleaning

Our hand-crafted rugs are made to be lived on and with proper care, will remain beautiful for years to come.

  • Routine Care

    • Vacuum regularly in the direction of the pile using a suction-only setting. Avoid beater bars, which can damage natural fibers.

    • Light shedding is normal, especially with hand-spun and hand-carded wool and will diminish over time.
  • Spot Cleaning

    • Address spills immediately by gently removing excess liquid and blotting the area with a clean, dry sponge or cloth. Never rub.
  • Deeper Cleaning

    • For best results, we recommend professional rug cleaning by a specialist experienced with hand-knotted and natural fiber rugs.
    • Avoid steam cleaning and harsh chemicals.
  • Protection Tips

    • Use a rug pad to reduce slipping, add cushioning, and extend the life of your rug.
    • Keep out of direct sunlight to prevent fading.
    • Trim loose fibers with scissors and never pull.

Thoughtful care preserves both the beauty and integrity of your rug, allowing its craftsmanship to last for generations.
